Walking at 8 Months

Thursday, October 25, 2007 16 Comments A+ a-

I don’t want to talk about it… the game was over by the end of the 5th inning. Hopefully the Rockies are just rusty after having nine days off and will come back with a vengeance; tonight should be a much better game.

After the Red Sox scored their 13th run, Jon and I turned our attention (and cell phones) to more important matters... like Hudson walking at eight months old. These videos are really grainy because I took them with the cell phone, but they give a fairly good idea of how mobile our eight-month-old son really is.

Scary, isn’t it?!

I’m a coffee drinking, book reading, laundry procrastinating, husband and children loving, mess of a woman who believes that chips and salsa can fix anything. We have chickens running around the backyard, a mountain of dishes in the sink, and on any given morning, I have at least 10 school forms that need my signature or initials. It’s a crazy life {I prefer to call it controlled chaos}, but its ours.

Josiah walked at 12months, Ava Beth walked at 14months, Ezekiel walked across furniture at 8months and he is now a little over nine months and he is walking. I always thought those people that said, "My baby walked at nine months", were lying. I really did. But now I have found that it can be true but I don't tell anyone. I just let them see it for themselves in fear of sounding crazy to someone else! :)

Zeke has to keep up with his four year old brother and two year old sister, he HAS to walk! :)

Wasn't the game last night just awful..more of a massacre than a game, but here's to hoping that tonight the men in purple can be the rockstars we have grown to LOVE!!

So cute!! We thought Ian would do that too because he was cruising around the furniture so early. He ended up taking his sweet time to walk on his own!

Isn't that sweet?

I love when they first learn how to walk... it's remarkable how quickly they pick it up.

Mine didn't start walking until 12 months, but he was potty trained at 2, even at bedtimes. I can't brag on the other... but at least I can on that! LOL

I've had 3 early walkers too. They didn't crawl for very long and went right to walking.

He is adorable!

Walking at 8 months---Congratulations you are in trouble now. HeeHee
My son was walking at 6 months. Very few people believe that this can happen thank heavens for video. We have videos of my son walking across the room at Christmas. He was born in June. I had gotten pregnant right away--I remember telling my son to wait at the bottom of the stairs in our apartment building while I carried groceries up to the apartment. I was HUGE almost immediately and couldn't carry up a bag of food, a baby in utero and a 6 month old. I remember coming back out to the stairwell to get my son nd he was already at the top of the stairs.

I didn't think anything of it at the time. I used to have him walk around the parking lot at our apartment complex. He had a similiar cart as you. He would go 'shopping' beneath the carports.

I was already pregnant a second time and needed the excercise. Our daughter, born 11 months later, was an early walker also. She always wanted to keep up with Kevin.

Kevin always wanting someone to play with taught his sister how to get out of the crib by climbing down the side head first. Another story. They now are both in high school.

Our daughter skipped the crawling thing and went right from balancing at the side of the coffee table to running after her brother. We have footage of her running around the house and stopping and putting her hands to her face and saying OHHHH! She was 9 months at the time.
Enjoy these times as they go way too fast!
